The establishment of the Oil Refining and Petrochemistry Research Institute will make it possible to:
- create a unified sector-specific center of scientific and engineering competence in Kazakhstan;
- strengthen scientific and technical support for the oil refining and petrochemical industry;
- expand capabilities in testing, standardization, and product certification;
- improve the efficiency and safety of technological processes at enterprises;
- accelerate the introduction of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient technologies;
- strengthen the human resources potential of the industry;
- ensure the practical implementation of domestic developments in industry;
- increase the level of technological independence and sustainable development of the industry.
